Cast Right Charters was founded by Captain Byron Kenney in an effort to share his knowledge and passion for the outdoors with others. We know first hand how much the outdoors can have a positive impact on people and that is our goal day in and day out. Whether it is an exhilarating fight with a monster fish, a large group of ducks decoying, a good laugh with friends, or just a relaxing day on the water we want you to experience what the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. Our ultimate hope is to help create a future generation of outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists.
The Name
The Name Cast Right Charters comes from John 21:6 He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. The disciples most of whom were professional fisherman had been fishing all night with no success, but Jesus spoke to them and they listened. They didn’t have to travel far, but simply cast their nets on the right side of the boat and their needs were exceeded. It is only through God that our nets are filled, He is close, and He is calling out to every one of us. Living with our nets casted off the right side is what inspired the business and we know that if there is any good that comes from this business it will be by God’s hand and not ours.

Byron Kenney
Captain Byron has been fishing and hunting ever since he could walk. He is a College Fishing National Champion and is continuing his career in both fresh and saltwater.

I know God gave me this passion to share with people and that is what I plan to do. I will do everything in my power to make your charter enjoyable and memorable.”
